A tennis team that plays out of the new Christopher Morley Tennis Center on Searingtown Road made it to the USTA Section title in Schenectady.
The USTA 18 & over team competed and won against eight other teams from the Long Island area.
The team will be competing for the section title and a chance to compete in the USTA National Championships after summer ends.
Michelle Rothbort has captained the team for three years, starting with friends and tennis partners from Manhasset, Port and the surrounding area. Each year the team’s results improved, with co-captain Seema Imberman and all team members contributing to the success.
“We are all very happy to have made it this far and excited to be representing the Long Island region,” Rothbort said. “I take a lot of pride in representing my town and the Christopher Morley Tennis Center.
