A Copiague man was shot through the closed front door of his home after gunmen came knocking over the weekend, Suffolk County police said.

Aaron Goodman was shot in the abdomen after the knock at the door of his Dixon Avenue home preceded multiple gunshots being fired through it at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Goodman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

First Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the shooting to call them at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
