Garvies Point Museum and Preserve, located at 50 Barry Drive, Glen Cove is hosting a Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 20. From 12 to 2 p.m, participants will clean up the beach area. At 2 p.m, there will be a live bird and animal program, sponsored by the North Shore Audubon Society, presented by the Tackapausha Museum. Light refreshments will be served. The Garvies Point admission fee will be waived for those who participate in the cleanup.

Suggested attire for the cleanup: Old clothes, sneakers, or boots. Bring drinking water, hat, sunscreen, and gloves. All ages welcome.
