The Blood Drive will take place on Sunday, Sept. 28 in the Marian Room in the lower level of St. Mary’s church at 1300 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please consider donating blood.
Who can donate? Eligible donors include those from age 16 (with written parental consent) to age 75. Those over 75 may donate with a doctor’s note. Donors must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. You can donate, in most cases, if you are diabetic, on medication, have had a heart attack or stroke, or have had certain kinds of cancers. If you need medical information about blood donation, your eligibility to donate, or any other concerns, please call 1-800-688-0900 and someone will be able to help you. Please take a minute to think of the miracle you can accomplish and the many lives your donation can affect. One pint of blood will help at least four patients.
