Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School showcased new 3-D zSpace tablets in science classrooms to experiment with force and motion.
The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District is one of the few school districts in the nation to pilot this new technology. The 24-inch tablets bring science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) lessons to a new level with its new 3-D software. Throughout the year, students will access the many anatomy, physiology, engineering and design programs available.
While wearing 3-D glasses, students can dissect virtual organisms and lift organs right off the screen, almost as if they were performing the operation in real life.
The zSpace tablet is designed to inspire students to think critically and creatively.
