Sen. Kemp Hannon (R)
Kemp Hannon chairs the Senate Health Committee and is a nationally regarded expert in health care. Long an advocate of women’s health issues, he has authored numerous laws in the healthcare field, served on the Governor’s Medicaid Redesign Team, and has established key laws in technology, finance and tax reform. This past session he enacted laws to deliver tax relief, limit government spending, and provide tax cuts for small businesses. His 2014 Jobs Fair connected 1,000+ job seekers with employers. He secured record STAR funding to provide tax relief for seniors and families.
Candidate Ethan Irwin (D)
Throughout his life, Ethan Irwin has been a tireless advocate and dedicated leader by serving his country and community. He is running, this November, to represent Long Island and to bring reform to Albany. As an advocate, Irwin has voiced concerns on cleaning the pollution at the Grumman Site, unfunded mandates and fair wages. As a father, Marine, Long Islander and a Democrat, Ethan’s values have been reflected in his work, service, and volunteer efforts Ethan lives in Levittown with his wife Veronica, niece Aleesia, and his two children Katherine and William who attend local public schools.
