Girl Scouts Participate In Leaf Program

The Girl Scout Cadette Troop 3558 recently visited Bailey Arboretum to participate in the “Leaf Art” program. The trip included a guided nature hike while learning about various trees and foliage.

The girls then got creative and painted beautiful leaves found on the sprawling grounds, creating unique fall decorations. The program tied to the Cadette Tree Badge, which requires girls to have some tree fun, learn the science of trees and then make a project starring trees.

The Cadette Girl scout troop has been together for six years and is part of the Central Park Association of Girl Scouts, which consists of 655 Girls in the Plainview, Bethpage and Old Bethpage area.
