Students enrolled in the John F. Kennedy High School business program recently visited H.B. Mattlin Middle School and Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School to teach fifth graders all about financial literacy in a fun and interactive way.
High school students used games and SmartBoards to help fifth-graders become more financially aware and start thinking about career readiness and entrepreneurship. The high school students participated as part of the “High School Heroes” leadership program, which aims to expose high school students to the teaching profession, cultivate leadership and public speaking skills and promote civic engagement.
