The Greentree Foundation has made a generous grant of $185,000 to assist charitable groups and other tax-exempt organizations that address priority needs facing the communities of the Town of North Hempstead. In July 2003, the Greentree Foundation, founded by the late Mrs. John Hay Whitney of Manhasset, established the “Greentree Good Neighbor Fund” and this recent grant brings the Foundation’s total support of this worthy effort to over $2,000,000.
As in past years, the recipients of these funds will be determined by a special committee of the Manhasset Community Fund. Completed applications must be postmarked on or before March 9, 2015.
All tax-exempt organizations that serve the people of the Town of North Hempstead are eligible and welcome to apply. Organizations seeking additional information about this grant program or application instructions should email an inquiry to: goodneighborfund@aol.com; or write to: Greentree Good Neighbor Grant Committee, Manhasset Community Fund, P.O.
