Bowling Tour’s Champ

Jacob Klainberg, a junior at MHS, won the Long Island Youth Bowling Tour’s
tournament at Massapequa Bowl on Feb. 15. A relative newcomer to the tour, this month’s match hosted a field of 26 exceptional bowlers from throughout New
York State. Fighting his way up through ten qualifying 7 rounds, with scores of 178, 192, and several games of 201, he wrested the final qualifying round from
tournament favorite Evan Hass of Commack, in the eighth round, and defeated Hass
in the tenth and final “one-on-one” round, with a high score of 214.
