Jennifer Marra Cronin died on Easter Sunday, April 5, in Atlanta, GA. Jen was the beloved wife of John A. Cronin, Jr., “Jay,” and the devoted mother of Madelynn and John A. Cronin III, “Jack.” She is also survived by her loving parents, Suzanne and Richard Marra of Port Washinton, her sister and her brother-in-law, Linda and Thomas Murphy, her brother Rich Marra of Encinitas, CA, in-laws, Maritta and John A. Cronin of Milton, MA, brothers-in-law, Brian M. Cronin of Milton, Will M. Cronin and his wife Christa of Middletown, RI. Jen was the proud aunt to Michael and Megan Murphy and Henry and Duncan Cronin. Jen was raised in Port Washington and graduated from The University of Vermont, where she captained the women’s basketball team. She had been employed by the American Cancer Society in New York City and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Georgia. Despite never smoking, Jen died of lung cancer after an 18-month courageous battle. Services were held in Georgia on April 13, and a remembrance will be held in Port Washington on June 27.
