Movie Night in the Park was an awesome event. Once a year, a 25-foot movie screen sits in the middle of Wilson Park in Mineola, ready to entertain residents.
The Mineola Junior Fire Department cooked hot dogs and provided soft drinks and snacks.
This year’s Movie Night in the Park featured Frozen, sponsored by the Village of Mineola and Mineola Chamber of Commerce on July 24.
Elsa from the film sang and gave out puzzles to children.
The event, which was free of charge to all of the moviegoers, was meant to help promote local Mineola businesses.
In the previous years, movie night has featured The Lorax, Despicable Me and The LEGO Movie.
