Rep. King Supports Barket Here

BarketKing_082615ALong Island Congressman Peter King will be the keynote speaker at a fundraising event in Great Neck on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The event will take place at Colbeh restaurant between 6 and 9 p.m. and will offer kosher cuisine.

In announcing the appearance, King said, “I am happy to support Mary Kay Barket for Town Council. She is independent, bright and hardworking and will be a great addition to the North Hempstead Council. Her experience as an actuary will serve the residents well as she strives to make their local government more responsive and efficient without increasing the tax burden.”

Barket said, “I am proud to have Peter King, a distinguished public servant and a strong supporter of Israel, endorse my candidacy. This will certainly help the momentum which has begun to build around our campaign.”

Barket, who is running for her first political office, has already received the endorsement of State Senator Jack Martins, County Legislator Richard Nicolello, North Hempstead Councilwoman Dina DeGiorgio and North Hempstead Councilman Angelo Ferrara.

“We are working hard to earn the support of all the residents in North Hempstead, and particularly those in Great Neck as they continue to improve one of the most vibrant communities on Long Island. My goal is to make our local government responsive to the needs of our
citizens while reducing their tax burden”, Barket said.
