GolisHenry Golis is a lifelong resident of Albertson, running on the Republican Party line for the Town of North Hempstead council’s second district. Golis has been a Town of North Hempstead employee for 35 years. Golis currently is a small business owner in the entertainment field. He is a member of Rotary International, the C.S.E.A./Retiree’s Unit union and St. Aidan’s Parish Williston Park.

“I’m retired from the Town of North Hempstead and know the inner workings from the ground up,” he said. “I will be able to devote all my time answering questions and getting direct results from complaints by cutting through red tape. I will address the day laborer problem that exists on Mineola Avenue in Roslyn Heights. I will eliminate hidden town fees including the $15.00 towing charge. I will work to restore the town’s Recycling Division that used to earn the town thousands of dollars in revenue with the sale of recyclable materials. I will work to restore the residential zoning code eliminating oversized housing to a more uniformed aesthetically pleasing appearance. I will push to stop the town’s operation of the Roslyn Country Club and return it to private ownership. I will curb the overdevelopment of the town by tightening code enforcement and provide tax incentives for small businesses.”
