Nassau County police is investigating the robbery of a Mineola sandwich shop on Sunday at 7:28 p.m.
Detectives said a white male entered Subway at 106 Old Country Rd. and handed an employee a demand note for money. After threatening her with using a gun that was never seen, the victim handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, police said. He then fled the store in an unknown direction.
The employee described the subject as being 30 to 40 years old, authorities said. He was wearing gray pants, sneakers, a black parka with a fur rimmed hood and beige gloves.
