As part of its “Bring Change” campaign, TD Bank at Merrick Road in Massapequa hosted a community coin counting event that raised $2,040 for the Shoreville Park Civic Association. TD matched up to $2,000 in coins counted for the final donation to the Association.
The Shoreville Park Civic Association seeks to help families that are struggling behind closed doors. This grassroots organization sees these families fighting to feed their children and makes it a mission to assist them. Currently, the Shoreville Park Civic Association provides food and basic necessities to the local needy. To continue their work, this neighborhood staple relies on the generosity of the community.
With 500 events planned through 2016, this program promises to raise more than $1 million in support of local organizations. To see a video recap of where we are to date, please visit https://youtu.be/4uAR0CiRLCM. To learn more about the program, visit www.tdbringchange.com.
Pictured from left: Tony and Sue Nunlie, the President and Treasurer respectively, of the Shoreville Park Civic Association, were more than happy to accept the TD bank donation from Alberonys Cuevas, TD store manager the Bring Change campaign. Tony and Sue shared their passion for the community beautification and were happy to use the funds to help families in need, especially during this holiday season. From spreading the word through their newsletter to Sue’s personal donations, it was very clear that these members of the Shoreville Park Civic Association are very dedicated to their mission. To add a perfect ending to the Bring Change event, Tony and Sue took pictures with the TD family in front of a picture that showed a great piece of Massapequa history, a historic zoo that was known to all in the area. With the pieces of history that they hold on to in their memories, there is no doubt that this association will do all that they can to keep the spirit of Massapequa full of life, and the team of the Massapequa TD Bank are more than happy to support that mission.
