Legislators Rose Marie Walker and Laura Schaefer were pleased to help out at the 25th annual Plainedge Community Coat Drive on Saturday,
Dec. 5. The legislators pitched in to help load the bags into vehicles for distribution.
Sponsored by the Plainedge Council of PTAs, this year more than 1,700 coats were collected, sorted and made ready for distribution by local organizations, including the Knights of Pythias. These organizations will distribute the coats to people in need.
