On Dec. 5 and 6, the Great Neck Park District Synchro Teams competed at the 2015 Terry Conners Synchro Open in Stamford,
Connecticut. Sponsored by the U.S. Figure Skating Association, the Icettes, ages 11-13; the Icicles, ages 9-11; and the Ice Gems, ages 7-9, all participated in this first competition of the season. The Ice Gems, who rank in the Basic Skills 1 Division, came in first place. The Icicles received a bronze medal in the Basic Skills 2 Division. The Icettes did a great job and will continue to strive for excellence in their Synchro Team performances. This was the first year they competed at the pre-juvenile level. Carole Liotti and Erica Beggs are the coaches for all three travel teams and are very proud of each and every competitor.
