Tu BiShvat, or the New Year of the Trees, was cause for celebration for Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman, Councilwomen Lee Seeman and Anna Kaplan, Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Town Clerk Wayne Wink and members of the Great Neck Social Center on Feb. 2. Tu BiShvat is often celebrated with the planting of trees and raising ecological awareness.
