A 30-year-old Yaphank man was killed when he crashed his SUV in East Moriches over the weekend.

Suffolk County police said Thomas Kenny was driving a Mazda Tribute eastbound on Montauk Highway when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree near the corner of Bay Avenue at 7:10 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seventh Squad detectives impounded the vehicle and are continuing the investigation.
