Herbert (“Herb”) S. Ingber passed away on April 9, 2016.
He was born on Nov. 22, 1921 and was 94 years old. He spent his youth in Monticello, NY, before joining the Air Force during WWII, where he served as a Second Lieutenant. After the war, he moved to Queens, before finally settling on Long Island, first in Roslyn and ultimately in Manhasset, his final residence. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Bernice Rosen Ingber, and was the father of Diane Ingber Stromfeld (Ron Stromfeld) and Charles “Chuck” Ingber (Jeanne Bergeron Ingber). Herb also leaves behind four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Herb was a self-made businessman, real estate broker and developer. He was gregarious, outgoing and respected by all who knew and loved him. Herb will be sorely missed.
