Kick-Off For Capital Plan

Groundbreaking_042016As noted in last week’s issue of The Roslyn News, the Roslyn School District Board of Education hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking in front of Roslyn High School on April 7 to kick off the $40 million capital bond program that voters approved in 2014. Staff members, parents and local dignitaries joined in celebrating the beginning of this major modernization of Roslyn schools. Work has begun this month on the new bus maintenance garage near Harbor Hill School and the playing and parking fields at the East Hills School. More Phase I projects will get under way this summer, with extensive interior renovations and upgrades at East Hills, as well as interior and exterior work at the Roslyn Middle School. Phase II will encompass additions and renovations at the high school, Harbor Hill and Heights.

There will be updates for the community throughout the duration of the capital program at www.roslynschools.org plus regular communications directly with parents in each of the buildings as work gets started in each location.
