Farmingdale Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A 22-year-old Farmingdale man suffered fatal injuries when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a crash with a car in Bethpage over the weekend.

Nassau County police said Ryan Rogers was riding a Kawasaki eastbound on Central Avenue when he collided with an Oldsmobile that was making a left turn onto Scherer Street shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday.

Rogers was pronounced dead at a local hospital and the woman driving the car was hospitalized for head and neck trauma.

Homicide Squad detectives impounded both vehicles but did not charge the surviving driver.
