Greenlawn Armed Home Invasion Probed

Suffolk County police are investigating an armed home invasion in Greenlawn that occurred over the Memorial day weekend.

After the victim heard a knock at the door, two men, one of whom was armed with a silver handgun, entered a Lafayette Street home at 10:15 p.m. Friday, May 27, police said.

The suspects stole cash and a pair of scissors before they fled the scene. The victim was not injured.

There was neither a description of the suspects nor any arrests made, police said.

Second Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
