Congratulations to the Class of 2016 on graduating from Plainedge High School.

Writing Our Stories
The library’s writing group for senior citizens. All are welcome. From 1 to 3 p.m. in the Bar Harbour meeting room.

Maria Regina Family Carnival
The Maria Regina family carnival kicks off on June 23 and runs through June 26. The carnival will offer more than 25 midway games and rides, live music, raffles, food and fun for all ages. Entertainment includes the themes of Parish Night, Celebrate the ‘60s, Italian Night and Celebrate America. Dance and karate studios, talent from Maria Regina School, several bands and singers, as well as the National Guard, The Tappan Zee Bridgemen and a fire department chili cook-off are scheduled. Adopt-A-Battalion Soldier’s Drive
Come help put care packages together for troops overseas. Looking for personal care items, seasonings, hot sauces and items other than candy. From 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Island Knight of Columbus Council, 2 Eastgate Rd., Massapequa Park.

Free Irish Night Concert
The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 15 of Nassau County and Massapequa, proudly presents an evening of free Irish entertainment with live traditional Irish music and sing alongs provided by the renowned Irish entertainers, The Shannon Breeze Band; and featuring Champion Irish Step dancers of the Inishfree School of Dance with an additional performance by the famed Tara Pipes and Drums of Massapequa. Festivities start at 6 p.m. at Brady Park on Front Street in the village of Massapequa Park. Bring beach chairs and blankets. No coolers will be permitted. Children’s Summer Reading Kick-Off
The “On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!” kick-off celebration, for ages 3-12 will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bar Harbour auditorium. Register for the club and stay for face paining, balloon art and cotton candy. Tickets are a must and can be purchased by calling 516-799-0770.

Torah Transfer
The transfer of the torahs from Congregation Beth-El at 99 Jerusalem Ave., Massapequa to Congregation Beth-Ohr (formerly the Bellmore Jewish Center), will begin at 11:15 a.m. The ceremony continuing at Congregation Beth-Ohr will continue at approximately 12:15 p.m.

Teen Takeover Mondays
Every Monday from 3:30 to 5 p.m., teens get to take over the auditorium. Enjoy open play with video games on Wii U and Xbox 360, play Minecraft, check out the collection of board games and hang out with friends every Monday in the Bar Harbour auditorium. Village of Massapequa Park Blood Drive
Come to Village Hall at 151 Front St., Massapequa Park on Wednesday, June 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. and donate blood. Must have valid photo ID or ID with signature. Must be a minimum weight of 110 pounds, between 16 to 76 years of age and not have any tattoos in the past 12 months. To schedule an appointment, call Long Island Blood Services at 516-478-5064.
