The Leisure Club of Mineola held its installation luncheon at the Westbury Manor on June 14. Almost 100 members attended the luncheon, which included a buffet of assorted salads, fruits and cheeses, then a sit-down three-course meal with dessert and coffee. A DJ supplied background music during the meal and dance music after.
President Mike Coniglio conducted the meeting and introduced Mayor Scott Strauss who swore in the new officers—vice president John Murray, treasurer Bart Loewenthal and recording secretary Cathy Murray. The remaining members of the board are president Coniglio, corresponding secretary Virginia Leonhard and membership officer Leslie Kerzner.
Strauss then presented a certificate of appreciation plus heartfelt thanks for all the work of the retiring board members—treasurer Loretta Baughan, vice president Nora Coniglio and recording secretary Mary Creegan.
Coniglio concluded the meeting portion of the party wishing everyone and safe and healthy summer. The next meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 13.
