Congratulations To The LI Athletes At Olympic Trials

Margaret Aroesty, a Long Island native, swam in the Olympic Trials today in the 200 IM.

The Long Beach swimmer is 16 years old and has made to the Olympic qualifiers in Omaha, NE. Aroesty finished fifth in the qualifying rounds. An amazing talent! Hope to more of her in the future.

Also swimming in the trials is Long Island native Gunther Casale. Casale attends Penn State and was a former LI Express swimmer. Casale will swim the breast stroke.

Swimming in prelims at the 2016 NCSA Junior National Championships in Orlando, Florida, Aroesty finished as the top qualifier to finals with a 58.98.

Kristen Romano of Long Beach also participated in the Olympic trials and swam the 400 IM. Congratulations to these talented home grown athletes.
