There can never be enough books about parenting, and Roslyn native Ilana Rosengarten Wiles has made her own contribution with the recently published book The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting.
On Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m., Wiles will be at the Barnes & Noble in Manhasset to give a talk and sign copies of the book for her hometown fans.
In addition to being an author, Wiles, a graduate of Roslyn High School and SUNY-Binghamton, is also the creator of the popular blog Mommy Shorts and the Instagram @averageparentproblems.
Even before publishing her book, major media outlets have saluted Wiles for her innovative approaches to parenting counseling. Parenting Magazine named @mommyshorts the best parent to follow on Instagram, Buzzfeed named her one of the funniest parent blogs to follow and People Magazine said she is one of the top creators of viral content. Her work has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel and even as a question on the legendary television quiz show, Jeopardy!
