Charles H. Wellington

Charles H. Wellington of Locust Valley, July 18, 1947 to Feb. 2, 2017. Beloved son of Patricia B. and Herbert G. Wellington Jr., brother of James F. and William B. Wellington; uncle of Robin C., Michael H., Emily M. and the late James C. Wellington; and devoted friend of Mary Dallas Cole. Charles attended Green Vale School, Glen Head. He graduated from Rectory School, Pomfret, CT, Brooks School, North Andover, MA, Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, IL and University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Charlie worked in the oil service industry and later on Wall Street for over 25 years. He was a pilot, a gifted hockey and tennis player, loved to fish, hunt, and shoot skeet and trap. He was a gourmet cook, collector of art and lover of music. His favorite place was the Madison Valley in Montana. In 2014 Charlie was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder and his last years were very difficult. He will be in our hearts and thoughts forever. May he rest in peace.
