West Babylon Crash Leaves Woman Dead

A 61-year-old woman was killed when she crashed her SUV in her hometown of West Babylon on Tuesday morning.

Suffolk County police said Deborah Leto was driving her Nissan Murano northbound on Straight Path when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a pole and a tree at the corner of 9th Street at 8 a.m.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead.

First Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigating and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8152.
