The Floral Park Recreation Department has once again planned one of the annual traditions of the spring season. The youth Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 8. In addition to the egg hunt, children will also be able to enjoy games and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The actual hunt for children 5 and under will start in Tiny Town at 9:30 a.m., while children 6 and above will have their egg hunt by the stage area with a beginning time of 9:45 a.m.

The recreation staff is currently preparing fields for the upcoming youth and adult baseball and softball seasons. Just before the late blizzard the recreation staff was able to make a push to aerate and seeded all fields. Work was also being done to manicure and upgrade the various infields before the snow. An excellent job of readying these highly used fields is being done by recreation staff members Don Haug Sr and Don Haug Jr., John Michon, Rich Clifford, Brian Dunn, Jim Ratto, Evan DeClemente, Steve Tursi, Matt Rohde, Owen Hammond, Kyle Meyfohrt and Mike Karph.
