A 25-year-old substitute teacher was arrested Thursday for allegedly inappropriately touching a student at Rocky Point High School last month, Suffolk County Police said.

Aimee Otero, of Coram, was charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Special Victims Section detectives alleged the suspect inappropriately touched a 16-year-old male student in a classroom on this school on Rocky Point Yaphank Road on April 7.

Rocky Point Union Free School District had referred the case to police, authorities said. She was reportedly fired.

Otero was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and will be arraigned in Suffolk County court at a later date.
