A man was arrested for fatally stabbing his 59-year-old aunt in her hometown of Hempstead on Tuesday night, Nassau County police said.
Kevin Pratt, 24, of Hempstead, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Taracker McClendon.
Hempstead police officers responded to a call for a disturbance at 115 Harvard St. and upon arrival, they found victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 p.m., authorities said. Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
Pratt will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
