Students at A.P Willits Elementary School in Syosset learned that chivalry is not dead and that it’s not difficult to exercise good behavior and act appropriately toward one another. A recent production of the school’s First Grade Drama Club demonstrated this, as the approximately 35 young actors and actresses, aided by dedicated crew members, presented “Good Manners: A Medieval Quest for Good Behavior.” Drama club members assumed the roles of apprentices, damsels, kings, queens, princes, princesses, knights, sorcerers and dragons for this play that brought a medieval twist to character education in an entertaining fashion. Characters such as Sir Cus Clown and Sir Loin Steak provided plenty of humor to the show, which was directed by teachers Denise Martinez and Jill Mulherin.
