Mickey (Morris) Ackerman passed away peacefully at age 93 with his beloved family around him in Providence, RI, on June 23.
Mickey leaves behind the love of his life, his darling sweetheart Ruthie. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary this coming Oct. 4.
The couple moved to Great Neck in 1952, where they lived for the next 40 years.
Mickey is survived by his beloved children, Rhonda, Brian and Pamela. He was extremely close to his two sons-in-law, Alan, and the late Michael, and his grandson-in-law, Blake. He is also survived by six absolutely adored grandchildren, Wendy, Bradley, Sarah, Lauren, Tori and Joshua; six adorable great-grandchildren, Zoey, Eva, Miles, Mia Shayna, Cameron and Joe; and his dear nieces, Beth and Susan.
Mickey was a proud graduate of New York University and a WWII veteran.
Mickey exercised every day of his life from the age of 13 until the last week of his life. He attributed his longevity to having the most wonderful wife in the world, and his daily exercise routine.
He was dearly loved by his family, and will be forever missed.
