The Saddle Rock Grist Mill, located in the village of Saddle Rock between Grist Mill Lane and Little Neck Bay, is an historic grist mill building. Dating back to the 18th century, the two-and-a-half story gambrel-roofed structure’s original use was as a storage house for ground grain and corn. It is the only extant, operating tidal grist mill on Long Island.

A beautiful, peaceful area that looks like the picturesque Northeast during the autumn season, this spot of perfect for reading, relaxing and a thoughtful spot to muse.

The building underwent a restoration in the 1950s and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Today, it is operated as a local history museum.
