You have not given enough proper thought regarding the elimination of LIRR crossings in Mineola. Yes, you are going to eliminate Main Street and Willis Avenue on the Main Line to reduce traffic congestion, but unless you eliminate Willis Ave and Second Street on the Oyster Bay line the traffic congestion remains. If a train on the Oyster Bay line is approaching, the gates go down, but the traffic signal on Willis Avenue and Second Street also turns red until the train passes creating another traffic mess that you’re trying to avoid. Please give this more thought before starting.
