Beth C. Tortolani Foundation Dinner Dance

Five honorees at the 22nd annual event on April 14

The Beth C. Tortolani Foundation will host its 22nd annual dinner dance at Terrace On the Park in Flushing on Saturday, April 14.

The Beth C. Tortolani (BCT) Foundation was founded in 1996 in memory of Tortolani, who died of breast cancer at age 50. Donations from friends, hospitals and corporate sponsors have helped the foundation offer assistance and educational programs for breast cancer patients and their families and continue to support translational research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

This year the foundation is honoring Dr. Lora R. Weiselberg, Chief, Breast Care Service at the Monte Cancer Center as well as BCT Foundation board members Joseph A. Fontana, Dr. Steven G. Friedman, Dr. Roy Nelson and Anne Nelson, LCSW, and Frank P. Viola for their dedication and commitment to breast cancer patients.

The Foundation has raised more than three million dollars and has sponsored programs extending through the five boroughs of New York including Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties and continues to accept applications for grant proposals.

For more information about the BCT Foundation and its programs, or if you would like to attend the dinner dance, call Terry DeLauro, at 516-783-5398.
