The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society is hopeful that our Landmark Committee has been able to play a role in facilitating a more inclusive, bay-wide discussion of the needs of all the communities surrounding Manhasset Bay as reported in “Manorhaven Waterfront Focus Of Board Meeting”, April 5, 2018.
No doubt such an undertaking will have more than its share of conflicts and compromise. Our hope is that the shared interest we all have in preserving and developing our waterfront for future generations will have a place at the table to guide the process. More than ever, we all need to recognize and embrace the common good of our community.
