Spring is here and the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce (MCOC) is as busy as ever with events and beautifying the downtown area.
With the coming of spring, the Adopt-A-Pole campaign is in full swing. The lovely hanging baskets have been placed on poles. The beautification of Manhasset is something that makes the town look special. The plants are paid for by donations from a variety of businesses, individuals and organizations. The chamber is working with the town and has secured the watering of these beautiful plants to flourish throughout the summer.
Last year, the chamber had purchased planters which enhance the beauty of Plandome Road. The MCOC is looking for sponsorship of these planters to ensure the beautification continues. Visit their website to learn more about these programs at www.manhassetny.org.
This week several events, which members are attending, including a joint venture with several local chambers at Multichamber Business Card Exchange, was held at Morton’s Steak House in Great Neck. New initiatives by Nassau County Chambers will foster the nearby chambers to join together to promote business and networking opportunities four times a year.
Local merchants and members will enjoy a Picnic Lunch at Mary Jane Davies Park on June 6 and a ribbon cutting for Manhasset’s newest addition, C2Education.
The MCOC is working hard to make Manhasset a wonderful place to reside and we urge residents to shop local and consider becoming a part of the chamber through a beautification membership.
