I want to thank New Yorkers for once more electing me to serve as state comptroller. With their renewed support, I will continue to guard the taxpayers of this state against waste and corruption, and push to make government more accountable, efficient and transparent.
I want taxpayers to know there is someone in Albany on their side, advocating for people of all backgrounds and fighting for what matters. I pledge to do my job with integrity, honesty and independence. I know there is much to do, but I will always give you straightforward answers and be the person you can depend on to get the job done.
I want to thank my staff, our volunteers, my friends in labor and the support from editorial boards across this state. I want to thank my family for being my biggest supporters and advocates. I look forward to the next four years and a brighter future for New York.
