Rigby (reference #NCI0115) is the man with the plan! This one-year-old male domestic medium-haired black kitten has had a few hard knocks in his short life, but he doesn’t let anything stand in his way of a good time. He’s nothing but pure joy and high energy.
He’s looking for a home that keep up with him. If you have other high energy pets looking for a playmate, he’s your guy. Because of his zest for life, cat experienced adults and homes with older children will best suit Rigby’s needs.
Contact DoritS@animalleague.org for more information.
Young Asparagus (reference # H209624) has already survived a lot in his short lifetime. Now nestled in a quiet place, this adorable two-year-old domestic short-haired tripod enjoys watching his friends play and accepting ear rubs from human visitors. We see a bright future for this sweet tabby boy.
If you have a quiet home and a loving heart, you have all Asparagus needs to begin his happily ever after. Please contact DoritS@animalleague.org to find out more.
As if being handsome and charming isn’t enough, Bartleby (reference # R166270) has one little surprise waiting to be discovered by his family: an adorable bobtail! Coming all the way from North Carolina, this 7-year-old is ready to set down roots in NY. He can’t tell us the life he’s left behind, but he’s very ready to purr his way into a future with you.
Bartleby would love a home with older children to help him ease into life as a cherished pet and would appreciate being the only pet in his home. If you’re interested in Bartleby, please contact DoritS@animalleague.org

Available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:
Pinto was found as a stray in October 2017. He was found on someone’s property and followed the homeowner inside her home (heart breaking, we know). Pinto is very, very playful with other dogs, he is so nice and friendly in fact, that the shelter uses him to test other dogs!
Pinto is though, a very scared dog, who flinches if you put your hand near his face and jumps at almost every strange noise. He will need a very savvy, patient owner who will be willing to work with him on these fears. Pinto also has some training, as he knows plenty of commands, and walks very well on leash.
If you are interested in adopting Pinto, please call the shelter at 516-785-5220, visit them at: 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh, or email adoption@tohmail.org.
Available for adoption at Almost Home Animal Rescue:
Six-year old Biggie is a big deal. This snuggle bunny came to Almost Home Animal Rescue from a farm out east where they help feral cats. Biggie was brought to Almost Home since he is definitely not feral, and is just looking for a home to call his own.
He is very friendly and adores human attention. He loves to be pet and to sit on your lap! And if that’s not enough to sell you on this little meatball, Biggie is great with other cats and kids too.
For more information about adopting Biggie, contact Almost Home Animal Rescue at almosthomeli.org or call 631-627-3665 today!
Available for adoption at Little Shelter:
Nico is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix, and in addition to his striking good looks, he is a happy, fun-loving, and ready to party pooch. Full of energy and playfulness, he will keep you on your toes, though when you’re ready for some downtime, he’s the perfect cuddle buddy. From the tip of his nose to his jaunty plumed tail, this one will steal your heart at first glance…”and then my soul saw you and said, oh there you are. I’ve been looking for you.”
Symphony is a cute little calico whose prior home was on the street. Even though the people at Little Shelter are nice and the food is great, living on the inside at Little Shelter with so much activity going on around her can take some getting used to but she’s trying. With a little patience and love, Symphony will make your heart melt in an instant!
For more information about adopting Nico and Symphony, please contact Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center at 33 Warner Rd, Huntington, 631-368-8770.
Available for adoption at the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter:

For more information about adopting these 2 peas in a pod, please contact the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter located at 104 Deposit Rd, East Northport, 631-651-9788.
