The Long Island accent ranked least sexy in a survey of the nation’s 50 most ear-pleasing dialects.
Big 7 Travel polled their social media followers and the results placed those who tawk like local celebrities Billy Joel and Theresa Caputo have the least desirable accents.
”People from ‘Lawnguyland’ might be a bit upset with being voted as having America’s least sexiest accent,” the company said in its survey. “But look, can they really disagree?”
The title of America’s sexiest accent went to Texas, followed by Boston and New York City. Rounding out the top 10 were Maine, Chicago, Mississippi, Hawaii, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and California.
