This little 4-year old beauty is Christy. She is a fantastic girl and it’s impossible not to adore her. Bashful, and gently engaging, it means quite a bit to have her grace you with her love. However, once you’re in her circle of friends, she is ever so loving and loyal. Christy is seeking an equally exquisite and exclusive home to call her own. This precious pup has traveled all the way from Tennessee to find her forever home.
One-year old Bindi is a doll. Boasting large brown eyes and a stunning chocolate coat, dusted with white, she is simply gorgeous. This precious pooch has traveled all the way from Tennessee to meet her forever family. While she might be bashful at first, with some time, patience and most importantly, treats, she will be right by your side to go on any adventure you’re up to. Bindi has quickly become a staff favorite at Bideawee since she is the sweetest gal.
Scout is truly one of the most interesting cats that you’ll ever meet. Coming from a background of tasteful travels to Paris and The Keys, Scout was quite aptly dubbed, as he certainly loves to adventure. Equal parts coolly confident and handsome, this loving cat will undoubtedly make any family overjoyed with his presence in their life.
This smoky 3-month-old boy is Gumby. He is a charming and gorgeous little kitten that can easily capture any heart! Boasting a blue-grey coat and a loving spirit, Gumby knows just how to woo and love. He is seeking an equally wonderful family to call his own.

Available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:
Gucci is a wonderful 7-year-old girl that came to the shelter as an owner surrender last July because her owner said she never adjusted well to the new baby in the home. Gucci’s owners had her since she was a puppy, so everyone is very heartbroken for Gucci. Gucci’s owner said she was very nice with strangers and is affectionate, house-trained and crate trained.
They also said she knows the commands “sit” and “come.” Gucci lived with another dog previously and did well on the shelter’s dog test here too. She also has gone out on a few foster day field trips and has done wonderfully, meeting new people and exploring the world a little bit. Gucci also seems to like cats.
Poor Gucci has been waiting way too long for her forever home, and we hope she doesn’t have to wait much longer. If you are interested in learning more, please call the shelter at 516-785-5220, visit 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh, or email adoption@tohmail.org today!
Available for adoption at Little Shelter:
Tammy is a very cuddly Beagle mix who was rescued from Puerto Rico. She always likes to curl up on your lap like a cat and stay close to you. At only 3 years old, she’s a young dog with a lot of love to give, but she is a shy dog that needs a family who’s willing to work with her to build her confidence and trust. Tammy gets along very well with other dogs, so much so that she needs to go to a home where she will have a canine companion. If you and your furry friend are looking for a new addition, contact Little Shelter today!
Jazzy is an incredibly sweet and loyal kitty who came to Little Shelter when his owner passed away. Don’t be fooled if you come across him napping by a sunny window, the second he senses one of his favorite people are near, he’s wide awake and looking for affection. All Jazzy wants is someone special to spoil with snuggles.
Please contact Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center at 33 Warner Rd, Huntington, 631-368-8770 for more information about adopting Tammy and Jazzy today!
Available for adoption at Little Shelter Sanctuary:
Holden is an 8-year-old lab mix who loves people. He is an oversized teddy bear that enjoys snuggling. Holden has a lot of fun running around in the sanctuary and his handlers say that he listens very well to commands. He also enjoys going for daily walks through the sanctuary trails and hanging out by the pond.
Holden’s favorite hobby (other than snuggling) is eating and he will sit at your feet with pleading puppy eyes that say, “give me cookies.” Holden is beautiful inside and out. He is full of love that he just wants to share with everyone and is such a kind soul. Holden is located near the Whitney Point/ Vestal/Binghamton area and potential adopters should call Little Shelter Sanctuary to schedule an appointment to meet him. Please call: 607-692-2036 if you are interested in adopting Holden.
Available for adoption at the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter:
Tobias is a super-sweet young gentleman who enjoys getting affection from people and cats alike. He is especially good with the kittens in the shelter and has earned the title “Mr. Mom.” What everyone really wants for Tobias is for him to have a family of his very own. He’s an active guy that enjoys playing with toys, but also knows when it’s time to just chill and snuggle up to you.
Nicole is a wonderful gal with quite the easy-going personality. She’s super low maintenance…only wanting love and affection. When not seeking attention, Nicole can be found curled up in sunny spots by the window or all snuggled up in a bed. If you have a spare window for this lady to perch on, head down to adopt her today!
For more information about adopting Tobias and Nicole, please contact the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter located at 104 Deposit Rd, East Northport, 631-651-9788.

Want someone to go running or hiking with? Meet Jo Jo Bo. This big, handsome 3-year-old Shar-pei/Labrador mix loves to run and play. Weighing in at about 7 pounds, he would prefer to be the only pet in the house with no children. He is neutered and up to date on shots, who could ask for more?
Meet Lola, a 6-year-old, 65-pound Rottie mix. Her elderly father was sent to a nursing home and never returned. She has been with a foster who adores her but sadly, he realizes she would be best with someone who was home more frequently. She loves walks and playing ball, is good with children but not good with cats, and would best as the only dog in the home. She is spayed and fully vetted. Now all she needs is a new best friend to care for her.
Zena is a sweet, beautiful 2-year-old German Shepard in desperate need of someone to take care of her. Sadly, her owner is no longer able to care for her. Zena needs a home and someone who can continue to teach her good dog manners. She lost her person and is confused. Zena is spayed, very sweet but strong on leash. Can you make this Zena your warrior princess?
SPECIAL NEEDS REQUEST: Frankie is an 11-year-old fully vetted, neutered, adorable mutt. He was an adopted rescue that is now in need of a home better suited to his needs. Sadly, Frankie can no longer see, but that doesn’t stop him. Frankie is a sweet, friendly dog who happens to be housebroken, crate-trained and loves to play with his tennis balls. He is good around older children, cats and small dogs. Getting used to a world of darkness can sometimes be a little scary, so Frankie needs a caring, understanding forever home.
If you can open your heart and home to Jo Jo, Lola, Zena, or Frankie, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616.

Being a mama cat is hard work, and no one knows that better than Medina (adoption #SCR2327). This young, 2-year-old lady from South Carolina has proved to be a wonderful mother to her litter of kittens, and now Medina is ready to retire from motherhood and ease into a peaceful life of being doted upon. Medina can still feel sensitive after all she’s experienced the past several months so would be best suited to a home with older children who can soothe her or give her space depending on what she needs. Patience and love will make Medina feel safe and sound. If this is the type of home you can provide, reach out to DoritS@animalleague.org today!
When Pixel (adoption #BF2144) was a kitten, she was left outside to fend for herself in the bitter cold of winter. NSALA’s rescue team was dispatched to bring her to safety, and she’s been tucked away in a quiet place where she has learned to trust the humans who care for her. Pixel is a 2-year-old, reserved girl who cautiously watches other cats. She’s learning she is safe. If you have had fearful cats before, have a quiet home with no young children, and are looking to expand your family, Pixel is your girl! Please contact DoritS@animalleague.org if you’re interested in welcoming Pixel into your home.
As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
