Shadow
Shadow

Available for adoption at Almost Home Animal Rescue:

Named for his gorgeous black coat, Shadow is a super sweet cat who loves to sit on the lap of any willing human and be pet, almost as much as he loves playing with fellow cats in the cattery. If you’re looking for your little shadow, contact Almost Home Animal Rescue at almosthomeli.org or call 631-627-3665 for more information about adopting him today!

Verrazano and Koscuiszko
Verrazano and Koscuiszko

Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America:

Verrazano (adoption #H209773) and Kosciuszko (adoption #H209774) were recently rescued locally and are leaning on each other as they navigate their new, temporary home at North Shore Animal League America. This bonded pair of male orange and white tabbies are looking for a calm, consistent environment to call home (likely their first ever). An adopter with some cat experience and a home with children 10 and older in age will build the “bridge” these older kittens need to discover a happy future. This is a double adoption- these guys must go home together.

Angelina and Angelica
Angelina and Angelica

Young, 19-month-old mother Angelina (adoption #R166722) has been so devoted to her two-month-old daughter, Angelica (adoption #R166723). Angelica loves her mama so much, they are never more than inches apart! Adopting a mama who will take the best care of her baby is the easiest double adoption one could imagine. If you’re a first-time adopter, two is better than one, and these two will make loving them a breeze!

Oliver 1
Oliver

Handsome Oliver (adoption #R166724) was being overlooked at an overcrowded municipal shelter in New Jersey. A trip across the state line to NSALA’s Adoption Center will hopefully offer him fresh-eyed adopters looking for a beautiful, black, six-month-old kitten. Oliver is no wallflower; he’s looking for an experienced feline family (with children 10 and older in age) and a resident cat who will keep him entertained and show him how to live in his very first home. Often black cats tend to be overlooked, but savvy adopters will recognize the prize Oliver is, and opt to bring this kitty home today!

Charlie
Charlie

Charlie (adoption #H209917) is a 9-year-old gentleman cat who recently lost his home and is trying to make sense in his new environment at North Shore Animal League America. Charlie is feeling a bit confused and needs someone who will give him a quiet place to feel loved and cherished. If you’d like to experience the deep affection a senior feline has to offer, and can offer Charlie the devotion he craves, please consider taking him into your home.

Charlene
Charlene

Beautiful Charlene (adoption #BF2683) was rescued locally and brought to an adoption center, where she is anxiously awaiting a life in a quiet home with reassuring humans. This 8-month-old female tabby has a strong desire to explore and her independence will enchant experienced cat fans who will indulge her curiosity and playfulness. Charlene is looking forward to celebrating her first birthday with a loving family – could it be yours?

Cross
Cross

Available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:

Cross is about 10 years young and came to the shelter after his owner was evicted and left him behind. Upon arrival, poor Cross was covered in fleas, sores and missing hair on his body. It was truly heartbreaking to see this sweet pup in such a condition. Cross loves other dogs, and actually relies on their company. He is very sweet with all people and is a breeze to walk on leash. Cross is looking for a loving home who will love and cherish him and give him the best years of his life.

Tilliito
Tilliito

It’s hard to believe that this adorable boy, Tillito, is one of the “Top 10 Longest Residents” at the shelter. Look at that smile!! Tillito is only 8 years old and has been at the shelter for the last two years, so it’s time for him to find a forever home. Tillito is super playful and friendly, loves toys, walks great on a leash and will sit politely for anyone that asks. Tillito needs slow intros to other dogs but gets along well with others.

If you are interested in learning more about adopting Cross and Tillito, please call for more information at 516-785-5220, visit 3320 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh or email  adoption@tohmail.org

Raven
Raven

Available for adoption through Pioneers for Animals Welfare Society:

Raven is an 8-year-old black and white beauty who’s in need of a forever home as her senior mom is quite ill. Raven’s owner has been a devoted cat rescuer her entire life, always ready to open her home whenever needed and now she needs someone to open their home for her baby. Raven is very sweet and affectionate, and ready to go home with you today!

Sasha
Sasha

Three-year old Sasha is as sweet as they come and is also owned by the same devoted cat rescuer. Can you help place Sasha in his next forever home?

Brinley 1
Brinley

Brinley is an adorable, super sweet young mix breed. Like most 2 year olds, she has lots of energy. She loves to run and jump and play with her toys. Brinley is good with children over 10 years old as she weighs about 45-50 lbs. She isn’t used to sharing her human(s) so it may be best if she’s the only pet in the home. She is spayed and up to date on shots, so she’s ready to go home with you today!

JoJo
JoJo

Want someone to go running or hiking with?  Meet Jo Jo Bo. This big, handsome 3-year-old Shar-pei/Labrador mix loves to run and play. Weighing in at about 75 lbs, he would prefer to be the only pet in the house with no children. If Jo Jo Bo sounds like your running mate, contact PAWS today!

Lola 1
Lola

Meet Lola, a 6-year-old, 65 lb Rottie mix. Sadly, Lola’s 94-year-old father was sent to a nursing home and never returned. She was her dad’s best friend and she waited for him alone in their house for months and realized he was not returning. She has been with a foster who adores her but, sadly, he realizes she would be best with someone who was home more frequently. She loves walks and playing ball. She is good with children but not good with cats and would best as the only dog in the home. She is spayed and is fully vetted and a true sweetheart.

If you can open your heart and home to Raven, Sasha, Brinley, Jo Jo, and Lola, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616.

Sherlock
Sherlock

JP
JP

This handsome 5-year-old boy is named JP. What a face he has! Donning a fantastic obsidian and gold coat, floppy ears, and the most heart-melting eyes, it’s impossible not to swoon over JP. Every bit as sweet with his beloved friends as he is adorable and irresistible, he encompasses only the loveliest qualities. He is seeking a patient, loving home with older children that will help him to feel comfortable and safe.

Linus
Linus

This handsome 2-year old feline is named Linus. He’s a gorgeous cat that has a way of stealing hearts anywhere he goes. Upon meeting you the first time, he will gently place his face into the palm of your hand and will nuzzle in for love. The definition of a mush, Linus is spilling over with love to share. He is a sweetheart and has the most wonderful qualities.

Lenore 1
Lenore

Meet lovely Lenore! She is a gorgeous 7-year-old kitty with glowing green eyes and a fantastic tabby coat. Lenore has been at Bideawee since March 2015. Her diva personality and sassy kind of love sure has a way of winning hearts. She is looking for a home that knows how to treat a lady and that can fully appreciate her feminine charms. Therefore, an adult-only home would be ideal for her.
