St. Mary’s Elementary and High School will be closed Friday, March 13, according to an announcement on their website. The school says it has no confirmed or suspected cases of the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. The school plans to reopen on Monday, March 16.
The school will spend its one-day break preparing for the event of an extended closure.
“This will enable our faculty and staff to refine and solidify our distance learning capacity for use in the event of extended closure,” the statement reads.
The school also plans to continue deep cleaning of their facilities and send an update no later than Sunday, March 15.
