Mr. Smithers 1
Mr. Smithers

**Senior Alert** Mr. Smithers is a 10-year-old gentleman who still has a lot of life in him and a lot of love ready to give. This little chatterbox will let you know when he is in need of some more TLC or attention. If the occasional meow doesn’t do the trick, this dapper guy will cuddle up to you with a nudge. Mr. Smithers has a hyperthyroid condition that requires a little extra care, but this is easily managed with daily medications. Mr. Smithers gets along with other cats and would fit in well as a cuddle buddy to any family! If you are looking for a best friend who enjoys spending his days perfecting the art of becoming a couch potato doting on his every purr, look no further than Mr. Smithers. Call 631-360-7575 today for more information.

Jade 3
Jade

Jade is a 2-year-old beauty in need of a loving home. She was trapped along with her kittens as part of the Animal Shelter’s Trap/Neuter/Release program. She instantly showed her affectionate side and trust for the staff and volunteers in the Shelter. Jade is a little ball of love, serving up sweetness to everyone she meets. Jade would do well in a home with children, making her a great family pet! Call 631-360-7575 today for more information.

Currently, there are a variety of male and female cats and kittens available to adopt or foster. If you are looking for a fun loving, yarn tossing ball of love, stop by the Kitten Nursery or the Cat Condos at the Smithtown Animal Shelter and find a PURR-fect soulmate or two!

COVID-19: Foster Opportunity: If you have no other pets or young children at home and are looking for a way to serve your community in this time of crisis, please consider signing up to be a foster. Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens, and dogs in their own homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for extended periods of time. Gertrude
Gertrude

A local rescue hero discovered Gertrude (Adoption #H21089) fending for herself in the elements last fall and secured her a safer retirement home than a busy parking lot. This shy 9-year-old deserves so much more than she had on the streets. Gertrude has been tucked away in a quiet space away from the bustling Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center to provide her a safe place to adapt to life indoors among humans. As a treasured family member. NSALA is actively seeking a loving, peaceful home with fearful cat experience and children 16 and older in age who will give her the predictable life she craves. When Gertrude’s trust is gained, she’ll discover the joy of being a treasured family member.

Carmine
Carmine

After spending his life in a loving home, 5-year-old Carmine (Adoption #H210682) finds himself needing help from the Animal League America team to find him a new one. This sweet, gentle boy has lived peacefully in a home with children, and although he can seem shy at first, he overcomes it easily when he receives gentle attention. Carmine is being treated for a minor heart condition which is covered through our Pet Health Centers. NSALA would love to get Carmine back into a real home as soon as possible so he can continue to thrive as the gentle soul we know him to be.

Ozzie
Ozzie

When NSALA first met Ozzie (Adoption #BF3227), he was uncertain about all the new people in his life. In a very short time, this sweet 1-year-old has graduated to full-time lap cat and lover of ear rubs.  Ozzie comes alive in a quiet home with feline friends to keep him company. Staff predicts a very bright future for this formally frightened friend, one that includes unlimited access to your lap!

Boots

Brilliant Boots (Adoption #G25714) is working his way into the hearts of our North Shore Animal League America staff. This 3-year-old tuxedo brought his gentle southern charm with him when he was rescued from Georgia. Staff is finding him to be a quick learner. Boots has figured out that rolling over when he sees you is an easy way to grab the heartstrings of visitors.  He’s also a very good listener, so if you’re looking for a friend with whom you can discuss life plans, he’s your best choice for BFF material!

Midnight 3

It’s as if Midnight (Adoption #L80550) were born to be a meowdel and just needed NSALA’s help as her agents to find her next gig: a photo shoot in her forever home! This radiant local rescue doesn’t want to even think about the life she left behind—it’s beneath her! Don’t make this classic lady wait another day to mesmerize you with her stunning eyes. She’s runway ready today!

Billy Dee Williams
Billy Dee Williams

Billy Dee Williams (Adoption #BF3300) was discovered fending for himself near a feral feeding colony, but his rescuer realized right away that he’d need help adjusting to a safer life indoors. Animal League America offered this FIV+ 9-year-old a fresh start at a comfortable retirement. NSALA is not surprised that Billy Dee needs time to learn to trust humans again, but he’s surrounded by the most loving, trustworthy humans in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. They don’t want him to worry another day of his life, and are hoping to find him a quiet home with older children who will spoil him with all the attention he desires, or give him plenty of space to relearn home living if he needs it. If your kind heart wants to offer Billy Dee Williams a shot at love, please consider providing him the home he has always deserved.

Duke is now ready for that next step. He needs a family who owns a home and has a nice, secure yard and a family who will commit to exercising him and being a good leader.
