Long Island has no shortage of events to make Valentine’s Day 2022 sweeter than a box of chocolates. Here is a roundup of lovely holiday-themed events across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

COOKIE-BAKING SESSION

Chef Rob Scott will lead an online session on baking his tasty sweet and salty chocolate chip cookies. Grab your whisk, invite your friends or family, and make a treat everyone will love. Longwood Public Library, Facebook Live, longwoodlibrary.org, registration required. Free. 2 p.m. Feb. 8.

LISA FISCHER

DINNER AT DESMOND’S

VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER & DANCE

SWINGTIME BIG BAND: LOVE NOTES

The timeless music of the Great American Songbook comes to life with the return of Swingtime Big Band. DINNER AT OHEKA CASTLE

While Covid may have canceled travel plans for many, Valentine’s Day dinner at the famous Oheka Castle might just transport you to the French countryside.
