When the mood for oysters strikes, there is no shortage of local restaurants to get them, but what is the best oyster bar on Long Island?

Long Islanders voted Peter’s Clam Bar the Best Oyster Bar on Long Island in the 2022 Bethpage Best of Long Island contest!

Drive up or arrive by boat. Look around and enjoy the view. There’s the bay with a field of green as a backdrop. Lobster bisque, crab legs, oysters, and paella from the varied menu at Pete’s Clam Bar never tasted so good. Fresh and terrific describe the generous platters of food. The establishment has been an old-fashioned seafood restaurant since 1940. The standard fare of baked clams, mussels scampi, lobster roll, juicy salmon, and an array of cocktails turns a dining activity into a special night out. Try a sangria pitcher with fresh fruit on a hot day. Enjoy a beautiful outdoor dining experience or stay cozy inside. Go in on a weeknight for a quiet dinner for two or invite friends to join you for a special birthday. All parties are amply accommodated. Friendly service is paramount!

Peter’s Clam Bar is located at 600 Long Beach Rd. in Island Park. It can be reached at 516-432-0505 or petersclamhouse.com
