Kim Stone
Oak View Group, the global venue development, advisory, and investment company for the sports and live entertainment industries, appointed seasoned sports industry executive Stone as president of UBS Arena and executive vice president of OVG East Coast. She will be based in Belmont Park and oversee all UBS Arena business and building operations and be responsible for all OVG East Coast Owned & Operated properties.
Paul Romanelli
The West Islip Board of Education appointed Romanelli as the next superintendent of schools, succeeding longtime superintendent Bernadette Burns on Aug. 15. He joins West Islip from the Long Beach Public Schools, where he has served as the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction since 2019 and previously worked as the principal of Long Beach Middle School.
Simone M. Freeman
Freeman, a partner at Garden City-based law firm of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP, was elected vice president of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. She is an experienced land use and zoning attorney, with an extensive background in public sector/municipal law. Simone’s expertise lies in executing public and private development, risk/site analysis, and litigation for public/municipal and private corporations.
Nick Giampaolo
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists appointed Giampaolo to senior vice president of operations. He will oversee expansion efforts in collaboration with the chief executive officer and chief operating officer. He has worked for NYCBS since 2017 and has held many positions, eventually working his way up to this new role.
Regina Primm
New York Health appointed Primm as its vice president of primary care. She has more than a decade of experience working in healthcare. Primm oversees the operations of all Primary Care offices throughout the NY Health network, providing leadership, and training in organizational efforts. She also represents the organization in providing consultation services to external clients.
Dr. Peter Igarashi
This nationally recognized nephrologist, physician-scientist and medical education innovator, has been named Dean of the Renaissance School of Medicine (RSOM) at Stony Brook University. He will begin his tenure as RSOM Dean on Sept. 12. Dr. Igarashi comes to Stony Brook from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Pamela Sanders
Sanders has been appointed the superintendent of schools of the Department of Education in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. She has worked in education in the diocese for more than 20 years, most recently serving as principal of Holy Name of Mary Catholic School in Valley Stream, where she has worked closely with The Morning Star Initiative team, whose aim is to renew and transform Catholic education on Long Island.
Christopher Canadeo
Melville-based EGC Group named Canadeo the marketing company’s new director of analytics. He previously worked at Initiative in New York City. His expertise includes media optimization, digital reporting, and telling stories with data.
